Also known as just X-Gin, it's inspired by the ancient recipe of the Mayans and Aztecs, Xocoatl, a divine drink intended only for use by kings, queens and Gods. Cocoa beans were ground to a powder, blended with vanilla and spices then mixed with hot water to make a foamy drink often used in ceremonies. Some even say it was the world's first aphrodisiac. Today, X-Gin recreates the essence of this legendary drink by distilling juniper, cocoa nibs, vanilla and a selection of the finest herbs and spices. The result is a sweet and complex gin, with soft flavours of cocoa and vanilla, elegant and supremely pleasurable. Served in a G&T, cocoa nibs are suggested as a garnish, and a small vial of these are included with the bottle. Alternatively, it can be served neat over ice with raspberries to create a heavenly dessert. |
