Zubrowka is the original Polish Bison Grass vodka whose heritage stretches back over 600 years to the 14th Century when Polish alchemists first unlocked the secrets of distilling vodka. Only in the ancient Bialowieza Forest of Poland does the distinctive aromatic Bison Grass grow, and the local nobility were so enchanted by it that they used its essence to transform the local vodka into a captivating spirit.

The Bialowieza Forest is protected today by a United Nations designation, and the secrets of finding and preserving Bison Grass are known only to 21 families in the area. These families work to pick this elusive grass, which grows only as single blades only distinguishable to a trained eye, to bring its unique flavour to Zubrowka.
