Botran Anejo 18 Solera 1893 Rum is sophisticated blend of rums matured using the Solera system common to Guatemalan rums. The barrels used in this system comprise American white oak barrels as well as former sherry and port casks. The final rum created in this system is a blend of rums aged up to 18 years. Elegant aromas of caramel with dry oaky notes and some subtle spice. Rich and smooth on the palate, flavours of dark chocolate and dried fruits, creamy butterscotch and a light whiff of smoke. An easy sipper, served neat or over a single large ice cube. It also mixes sublimely with Champagne, coffee, or fruit juices. The date 1893 in the name refers to the year that the eldest of the five Botran brothers, Venancio, was born. This rum is made to pay tribute to his legacy. |
