Description:

Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2025 is fresh, poised & full of Marlborough spirit. From the celebrated vineyards of Marlborough's Wairau Valley, Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc has earned its status as a reference point for premium New Zealand white wine. With the 2025 vintage, the winery returns to form with a wine that marries clarity and intensity, capturing the unique sense of place that generations of wine-lovers have come to associate with Cloudy Bay. Meticulously crafted from carefully tended vines in free-draining gravelly soils and cooled by Marlborough's maritime climate - this vintage proves yet again why Cloudy Bay remains the benchmark for Sauvignon Blanc worldwide.

Tasting Notes
Appearance

A bright, pale lemon-green core with crystalline clarity - gleaming in the glass and hinting at the wine's freshness and vibrancy.

Nose
Open and expressive. The 2025 vintage greets you with aromas of peach, elderflower, freshly squeezed lemon, and fragrant makrut lime. A whisper of subtle white-flower perfume adds complexity, lending elegance and freshness in equal measure.

Palate
Bright, layered and poised. On the palate, expect a lively cascade of white-nectarine, lemon curd, and gentle stone-fruit character - all carried on crisp, invigorating citrus acidity. There's a refined mid-palate depth and a textural intrigue reminiscent of a cool sea breeze, underpinned by subtle saline-mineral notes.

Finish
Clean, elegant and lingering. A lovely interplay of fresh citrus, soft stone-fruit, and a hint of sea-salt minerality gradually fades - leaving a sense of freshness, poise and the urge to take another sip.

Food Pairing Suggestions

  • Tempura oysters, sashimi or steamed mussels with garlic, citrus and parsley - highlight the wine's citrus-sea-salt synergy.
  • Goat's cheese or fresh green salads - the crisp acidity and citrus notes balance creamy or leafy dishes perfectly.
  • Seafood pasta, grilled calamari or white fish - especially with a squeeze of lemon or a light herb dressing to echo the wine's fresh character.
