Strathisla 12 Year Old is a classic Speyside style single malt, hailing from the longest continuously operating distillery in Scotland. The malts produced by the distillery are perhaps best known for being the core component in all of the Chivas Brothers blends. An inviting dark amber colour. The nose has a complex array of notes; some sweet toffee, dried fruit and baking spices as well as a little cereal. Rich on the palate with a lightly oily texture. The flavours found in the nose follow through here, with additional subtle dark chocolate and coffee notes. |
