Aberlour 18 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is a well matured and heavy sherried expression. It's rich and indulgent, matured in the highest quality casks. On the nose, there's distinct aromas of oranges, followed by chocolate cake and a hint of red fruits. The aromas are worth spending time to savour. A swirl on the palate presents rich and complex notes of toffee, butterscotch, ripe peach and bitter orange. The increased age of this single malt adds body and rich raisin characters to Aberlour's noted characteristics of depth and spiciness. The finish is medium to long finish, with a slightly dry but pleasant spicy oak notes. A dram perfect dram to savour and enjoy slowly. |
