Avion Reserva 44 is an ultra-premium tequila aged for a total of 44 months before release. It spends 43 months in traditional oak barrels and then a further 1 month in petite oak barrels, during which the barrels are rotated daily. This rare extra añejo tequila has wood characteristics that complements the agave flavours without subsuming them. The savory roasted agave can be distiguished from the vanilla, caramel, and spicy notes imparted by the oak.
This rich tequila has deep aromas of roasted agave and vanilla, complemented by a light citrus touch. The palate is fruity and rich, with notes of ripe fruits, agave and toasted oak. Dried fruits, eucalyptus and cinnamon are also present.
Each bottle is hand-numbered and signed by Avion's founder. The beautiful packaging also makes the bottle a fantastic gift.
