Banks 5 Island White Rum is a dry rum with enticing aromas of fresh spice. On the palate, you also get the sensation of spices, followed by notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and molasses. The finish is long, fresh and grassy. Banks Rum is named after an 18th century English botanist. It's produced using a unique blend of 21 rums from 6 distilleries on 5 islands. Trinidad provides the Black Strap molasses that give the blend its backbone, Jamaican pot distilled rums provide exceptional aromatics, Guyana gives the earthy and tropical fruit notes that deliver depth, Barbadian golden rums add character and zest, Javan Batavia Arrack lends that touch of spice. The rum is carefully charcoal filtered to remove the pale colour whilst retaining its aroma and flavours. As a result, it can be also be served and enjoyed neat.
