Produced in Jalisco, Mexico, this tequila is made from 100 percent Blue Weber agave and reflects a modern, deliberately softened style of reposado. Founded in 2013, the brand focuses on smoothness and accessibility, with production choices designed to reduce sharpness and emphasise a rounded profile. Agave is harvested after reaching maturity, typically between seven and ten years, and then slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens. This extended cooking process converts starches into fermentable sugars while developing caramelised agave notes. After cooking, the agave is crushed to extract juice, which is then fermented under controlled conditions.
Fermentation is extended compared to many tequila producers, often lasting around 80 hours. This longer duration allows for additional development of flavour compounds while maintaining control over unwanted by-products. Distillation takes place in copper pot stills, usually in two stages, producing a clean yet slightly characterful spirit. Following distillation, the tequila is aged for several months in American oak barrels, typically ex-bourbon casks. This maturation period classifies it as a reposado and introduces notes of vanilla, caramel, and light spice. The oak influence is moderate, designed to complement rather than dominate the agave character.
The profile is intentionally softened through careful blending and controlled ageing. Compared to more traditional or highland-style tequilas, the agave presence is less sharp, with a smoother and more rounded mouthfeel. The overall style is approachable and polished, with emphasis on balance, light sweetness, and oak integration rather than strong vegetal or mineral characteristics.
