Cheval des Andes is a union that combines the art of blending from Cheval Blanc together with the altitude winemaking expertise of Terrazas de los Andes. Cheval des Andes is crafted by sublimating the Malbec fruit and soft tannins in a classic Cabernet Sauvignon, creating a 'Grand Cru of the Andes' that ages gracefully. Warming aromas of tobacco, red berry fruit macerated in brandy, cherry stones, and home-made jam, against a backdrop of oaky, slightly spicy notes of cedar-wood, tobacco and bay leaves. The attack on the palate is full, rich and warm with lots of freshness coming through on the mid-palate. Sweet, ripe tannins mingle harmoniously with the oak, beautifully rounded off by a full, long finish.
