Dark Matter Spiced Rum is the first rum to be distilled in Scotland. Fresh ginger, green peppercorns, long pepper and allspice berries are all meticulously hand prepared and infused in the rum after distillation. The spices bring a warming, peppery character to the rum, a uniquely spicy taste allowing it to stand apart from other spiced rums. A little sugar in the blend helps to balance out the spicy heat without ever becoming cloying. The unique flavour profile means it won't lend itself as easily to traditional spiced rum mixes like cola, rather inviting itself more readily to a more experimental mix.
