Fleuire 'La Bonne Dame' from Louis Tete is bright brick red in the glass, with attractive ruby highlights. A fruit driven nose, overflowing with cranberry and raspberry fruits and a touch of green spiciness. The palate is medium bodied, soft and supple, with good acidity supporting the vivid forest fruit flavours. An finish that is elegant, dry and poised.
Background: Louis Tete is one of the largest negociant houses in Beaujolais, dealing in wines from Beaujolais itself and also in the wines from the nearby Maçonnais. The House is now owned and run by Jean Tete, son of Louis, the founder of the dynasty. Jean has built on his fathers success, buying vineyards and establishing a reputation as one of the finest tasters in the whole of the region. The wines are of excellent and consistent quality, and express the classic style of the regions from which they are sourced.
