A combination of Australian spirit and festive cheer, Four Pillars Australian Christmas Gin is produced with distilled Christmas puddings, yes you're reading that correct! Along with juniper, angelica, coriander, star anise and cinnamon. Using gin aged in several 100+ year old Muscat barrels, including two 125 year old, former William Grant whisky barrels - prior to arriving at Healesville - Australia, these whisky barrels stored Rutherglen Muscat for 80 years. This gin is then blended with the Christmas pudding gin. To finish, a little Classic Rutherglen Muscat is added to round out the palate and add a touch of richness. The result is a gin that has a nose like gin and a taste like Christmas! You get the distinct aromatics of classic juniper and a hint of cinnamon, followed by a rich, luscious palate, with a hint of sweetness from the Muscat and richness from the extended barrel ageing. For 2018, the bottle label is a Stephen Baker design, 'Basking in the Sun', which apparently shows what people do at Christmas in Australia! Mmm...well we can't see bikini and shorts being the attire of choice in the UK for Christmas!
