George T. Stagg is a part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, a much highly sought after and much prized range of expressions released annually from the Buffalo Trace Distillery. The 2019 release of George T. Stagg is a 15 years and 3 months old bourbon bottled straight out of the barrel without the addition of water and without filtering. The expression is named in honour of one of bourbon's most important pioneers. This exceptional whiskey has a nose of caramel, cherries and a hint of mint. The palate has rich layers of vanilla and toasted oak with a floral undertone. The finish is long with cherries, coffee and black pepper all present. This whiskey is released only in very limited quantities each year and will only ever be tasted by a lucky few. |
