On the nose you can detect spring blossom, violets, sweet peas and there's a subtle green leafiness. Vibrant flavours on the palate with a compelling balance of dry tannin and soft brown sugar, with a vanilla sweetness. The deep oak flavours keep developing, with hints of spice and liquorice coming through. The finish is both deep and complex. This rare and aged single malt Scotch whisky that has spent 26 years maturing carefully in American Oak ex-bourbon casks. This expression has been created in honour of Glenfiddich's line of continuous family ownership since William Grant founded the distillery back in 1887. |
