Goldschlager is a delicious cinnamon flavoured schnapps liqueur. Famous for the real 24 karat gold flakes contained in the bottle. By the way, the flakes are so thin they are edible! It has aromas of spice and cinnamon. The palate has a lingering sweet, syrupy flavour and texture with a markedly hot and spicy finish. Its origins date back to over 400 years ago to a drink called Goldwasser. It came in different forms, but was prominently a root and herbal liqueur. Goldwasser was most famous for containing flakes of real gold.
