Isle of Jura 21 year old was released in celebration of the distillery's 200th anniversary in 2010. Matured in Oloroso sherry casks, much as the distillers of Jura would have done back in the day. A dark ruby colour. On the nose, Jura's traditional coastal, floral aromas are present. Hints of oak, pine and citrus fruits. On the palate, there is a fruity sweetness with cherry, orange and lemon flavours. Some dark chocolate and licorice too as well as some of those woody notes found in the nose. A tangy, refreshing finish, reminiscent of the ocean. |
