Nettle Gin is part of JJ Whitley's range inspired by English country gardens and hedgerows and harks back to the Victorian and Edwardian era in which the creator's Grandfather lived, a vicar's son after whom the range is named. The gin is infused with stinging nettles, abundant in many British hedgerows and infamous for being pretty unpleasant to come in contact with. When distilled though, the plant loses its sting and instead delivers a light, fresh and zingy gin with a heavy herbal aroma and just a little sweetness. The recommended serve for this unique gin is the Hatton Garden Iced Tea, mixing it with green tea, lemon juice, simple syrup and soda water. |
