One of the oldest names in cognac, Martell has been producing spirits in Cognac since 1715, and this VS is their lighter, more fruit-driven style. The blend leans heavily on eaux-de-vie from the Borderies cru, which is known for giving a softer, more floral character compared to other areas. Rather than being overly oaky, this one is all about freshness and approachability. It spends time in French oak, but the influence is kept fairly gentle, letting the natural fruit and floral notes come through. Martell VS 1.5 litre bottle is ideal if you’re serving a group or just want a larger format on hand, with the same liquid as the standard size.
