Produced by a family-owned house in the Grande Champagne cru, this Cognac is made exclusively from eaux-de-vie sourced from the region’s chalk-rich soils, known for producing spirits with strong aging potential. Distillation takes place in copper pot stills on the lees, a method that retains more aromatic compounds and contributes to a fuller, more textured base spirit. Extended maturation in French oak allows for gradual oxidation and integration, with the spirit developing complexity over many years. Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie are particularly suited to long aging, and this is reflected in the depth and structure of the final blend. Oak influence is present but carefully managed, allowing fruit and floral elements to remain clearly defined.
The house style emphasises precision and transparency, with a focus on expressing the character of the cru rather than blending for uniformity across regions. Over time, the interaction between spirit and wood introduces layered notes while preserving balance and clarity.
