G.H. Mumm Champagne has a legacy of close to two centuries, founded by three brothers from the Mumm family in 1827, though the Mumms had already traded as wine producers in Germany since 1761. Georges Hermann Mumm who took the reins in 1852 lived by the motto "only the best", which the company continues upholding to this day. His most famous contribution would be Mumm Champagne's signature Cordon Rouge with its design inspired by the French Legion of Honour.
G.H. Mumm has been a renown official sponsor of F1 racing, providing the champagne used in the sport's famous podium celebrations.
