Description

Description:

Inspired by the great sparkling wines of France, Pongracz Brut is one of South Africa's most celebrated Cap Classique wines. Named after Desiderius Pongracz, a Hungarian nobleman whose pioneering ideas helped shape modern viticulture in the Cape, this elegant sparkling wine is produced using the traditional method, with secondary fermentation taking place in the bottle to create its fine, persistent bubbles and remarkable complexity. Crafted from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the wine spends around two years ageing on its lees before disgorgement, developing layers of toasted brioche, fresh citrus and crisp orchard fruit. The Pinot Noir provides structure and richness, while the Chardonnay contributes freshness, finesse and lively acidity, resulting in a beautifully balanced sparkling wine.

Whether served as an elegant aperitif or alongside seafood and celebratory meals, Pongracz Brut consistently delivers exceptional quality and outstanding value. Its refined mousse, refreshing character and classic Cap Classique style make it a favourite for weddings, parties and special occasions alike.
