In 1804 Arzac Seignette founded his Cognac House, which became one of the leading brands of the 19th Century. Today, Sazerac are proud to be reviving and building on the brand's long heritage. Seignette VS Cognac aims to inspire a new generation of cognac drinkers, who enjoy and appreciate the fine quality that made the reputation of Seignette cognac. The Seignette family were originally traders in salt and brandies in La Rochelle on the waters of the Charente river in southwestern France, that was said to be 'covered in swans'. As such, the Seignette family placed the graceful bird at the heart of their coat of arms. Seignette VS is pale gold with coppery highlights. On the nose, you get dried apricot and vanilla with hints honeysuckle. The palate is rounded, with oaky vanilla notes and without bitterness. There's a touch of citrus (orange peel) in the long, creamy finish. Balanced, with all elements in harmony. The richness and depth of flavour make Seignette VS an excellent choice for cognac-based cocktails. |
