Skyy vodka was created in 1992 by Maurice Kanbar in a quest to make a better martini. His theory was that it simply required a better vodka. To do this, he set about crafting a vodka with fewer impurities. Created from American grains he used an innovative quadruple distillation system along with triple filtration to remove more impurities than any other vodka.
