Stones

Stone's Ginger Wine's roots go all the way back to 1740 when the Finsbury Distilling Company was founded in the City of London. After the Gin Act of 1751 prevented them from selling directly to the public, they partnered with a grocer by the name of Joseph Stone to distribute their Ginger Wine, the man who would give his name to the product.

Joseph's son went on to join the distillery acting as a salesman, spreading the word of Stone's Ginger Wine. He did the job well, for today his family name is now perhaps the best-known Ginger Wine in the world.
