A furious spirit, Talisker 8 Year Old Special Release 2021 twists and turns with cereal aromas, then briny seawood and mountain smoke. It envelopes the mouth with a soft oily texture. Bold in taste, with licks of savoury salt, a light touch of sweetness and prominent smoke. The finish is long and warming. Hailing from the most heavily peated reserves and distilled and aged on the rugged Isle of Syke, with the ferocious sea whipping its coastline. The result is this fire breathing sea-monster of a whisky.
