Tanqueray is a London Dry Gin that has a clean and crisp taste. The secret recipe is thought to contain as little as four botanicals. Bottled at 47.3% ABV, it’s dry and the increased alcohol content helps to further accenuate the juniper and spicy notes.
This bottle of Tanqueray comes presented in the iconic cocktail shaker shaped bottle inspired by the range of pre-mixed cocktails Tanqueray sold in the 1920's.
This is the genuine 47.3% ABV bottle (not the more common 43.1% ABV one!). Both were confusingly labelled as Export Strength!
This clear gin is made from high quality spirit and fine botanicals. Fresh juniper immediately hit the nose with a touch of lemon zest and black pepper. It's clean, juniper led taste is followed by notes of lemon zest and hints of coriander. The increased 47.3% ABV helps to liven up the peppery spirited notes. The balanced and elegant finish has light touches of pepper and persisting juniper flavours.
