The 30 Year Old Tawny is composed from a selection of wines aged for decades in seasoned oak, using traditional grape varieties including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz. At this level, the style moves firmly into a more evolved and contemplative category, where maturity defines the wine’s identity.
Prolonged ageing in smaller oak casks allows slow oxidation and evaporation, concentrating the wine while developing significant complexity and integration. Over time, the structure softens and the profile shifts away from primary fruit towards layered tertiary characteristics.
