The Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey is the third release in the trinity range of Teeling expressions, completing the core range of non-age statement Irish whiskeys. It's made from 100% Malted Barley, from a range of different ages including Malt whiskey distilled in 1991. This Single Malt bottling is created from the vatting of 5 different wine cask finished Irish Malt whiskeys (Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy, Cabernet Sauvignon). Like all Teeling Whiskeys, it is bottled at 46% with no chill filtration allowing all the natural flavours of the whiskey to be preserved. On the nose, Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey begins with very fruity notes, with waves of tropical fruits, ripe apples, melons, and oranges then some touches of milk chocolate, spice and old engine oil. In the mouth, it's packed with flavours of bittersweet chocolate, quince, orange marmalade, cloves, ginger and other spices. There's a slight hint of smoke, not peat smoke, it's more like charred oak and vanilla. A splash of water opens up some delicious tropical fruit flavours of mango and pineapple with hints of red berries.
