Pot still distillation retains a higher level of congeners, contributing ester-driven fruit notes and greater aromatic intensity. In contrast, the Barbadian component is a column still rum aged for approximately five years, delivering a cleaner and more structured profile with lower congener content.
Both elements are matured in ex-bourbon oak casks under tropical conditions before blending. This ageing introduces vanilla, caramel, and light spice, while the climate accelerates interaction between spirit and wood. The combination of different ageing periods and still types creates a layered but controlled profile. Blending is central to the final character.
