Searing acidity underlies the intense flavours on the palate. Aszu wines are made when, aided by climatic conditions, botryis concentrates the grape sugars in the hand picked, raisin-like grapes - Aszú berries. The wine is aged skilfully in cask for a minimum of 3 years. The Puttonyos number 3 to 6 - indicate the amount of Aszú grapes used.
