A fragrant wine, Trimbach Gewurztraminer Reserve has aromas of lychee, beeswax and chamomile. In the mouth there are ripe lemons and tropical fruit flavours, along with a furl of smoke.
Made only after a rigorous selection, in only the best years, this luscious, spicy wine can take on great complexity in the bottle with age. The Reserve range is from parcel selections of old vines (mostly around 35 years old) in calcareous clay soils around Ribeauville and the result is a more complex wine destined for a longer laying down. After harvesting, the grapes are brought directly to the winery where they are fermented in stainless steel and bottled early without malolactic fermentation.
