Description

Description:

Un Lugar en Los Andes Pinot Noir is an elegant expression of high-altitude winemaking from the San Pablo subregion of the Uco Valley, Mendoza. Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes grown at an impressive elevation of 1700 metres above sea level, this wine captures the vibrant energy and unique freshness of the terroir. Carefully nurtured in the cool Andean foothills, the grapes benefit from marked diurnal shifts and pure mountain air, resulting in an exceptionally refined Pinot Noir. The winemaking process combines traditional and modern techniques, with 50% whole cluster fermentation in old wooden vats and subsequent ageing in used barrels, preserving the fruit's delicate complexity and structure.

Tasting Notes
Appearance:
This Pinot Noir presents a brilliant ruby hue with delicate garnet reflections, displaying the graceful translucency typical of high-quality examples from cooler regions.

Nose:
The aromatic profile is captivating, with an enticing bouquet of fresh strawberries, cherries, and plums layered over subtle notes of wild herbs and gentle floral nuances. The perfume is both vivid and refined, offering a tantalising preview of the wine's lively character.

Palate:
On the palate, Un Lugar en Los Andes Pinot Noir is silky and poised, led by a medley of red berry fruits complemented by a vibrant acidity. Hints of savoury herbal elements and delicate florals unfold alongside ripe cherry and plum flavours. The wine is structured yet elegant, with finely textured tannins that give depth without overpowering the fruit purity.

Finish:
The finish is long and harmonious, marked by persistent red fruits and a refreshing lift of mountain herbs. Its clean, graceful conclusion makes this Pinot Noir both satisfying on its own and a superb partner for food. Perfect for pairing with roasted lamb chops, this Pinot Noir is a testament to the expressive potential of high-altitude vineyards in the Uco Valley.
