Velho Barreiro Cachaca is a smooth, traditional cachaça with intense citrus, ripe pear and green apple characterisics. Only fresh juice from the best sugarcane grown in plantations on their own farms is used to create this cachaça. After the first distillation it is allowed to rest for some time before it is distilled for a second time. After the second distillation the cachaça is stored in wooden barrels made from Brazilian 'Jequitiba Rosa' for 6 months. The wood imparts a unique depth and flavour and harmony without affecting the colour of this clear spirit. |
