Veuve Clicquot Vintage Rose 2015 displays a deep rose colour. It has a complex nose, with lots of effervescence on the palate. There are notes of orange blossom, yuzu and mandarin that give freshness, followed by mouthwatering aromas of cherry, aniseed and Vienna bread. The 2015 vintage of Veuve Clicquot marks the 67th vintage of the Maison.
Pinot Noir (50%) predominates this blend. The Pinot Noir grapes are exclusively sourced from the Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages and provide the structure that is so typically Clicquot. Chardonnay (30%) brings the elegance and finesse of a balanced wine, while the Pinot Meunier (20%) rounds out the blend.
The Vintage Rosé blend has been created with 13% of red still wine, exclusively from the Pinot Noir of Bouzy.
Veuve Clicquot's Vintage collection is unique for its use of wines vinified and aged in large oak casks (11%), which add strength and aromatic intensity. The cask-aged wines bring with them additional complexity with their spicy notes and subtle roast coffee and toasty aromas.
The bottle comes presented in a Veuve Clicquot Vintage Rose branded gift box.
