Warner Edwards Botanical Garden Melissa Gin is the distillery's first release in the Botanical Garden range. Warner Edwards co-founder Tom's mother was a keen gardener, and her garden has now been converted into the distillery's Botanical Garden, from which Warner Edwards draw on herbaceous plants to create these limited edition expressions. Melissa Gin's eponymous botanical is Melissa Officinalis, better known as Lemon Balm, a member of the mint family which brings some unique citrus notes to the expression. Far from being a simple addition to the Harrington Dry Gin formula, Melissa Gin is an entirely new gin recipe for Warner Edwards. Fresh and vibrant herbal green notes on the nose, with bold piney juniper and a striking sweetness. An underlying spiciness on the palate delivered by nutmeg and cardamom, balanced perfectly by the fresh minty citrus notes of the Lemon balm. Each bottle comes with a packet of Lemon Balm seeds for you to grow your own crop at home to use as a garnish.
