Description

Description:

Produced in rural Northamptonshire, England, this gin is distilled on Falls Farm using a small scale approach that emphasises batch control and raw ingredient quality. Developed by Warner Edwards Distillery, the expression is positioned as a modern London dry style with a focus on freshness and balance rather than botanical complexity. The base spirit is a neutral grain alcohol, selected for its clean and consistent profile. Distillation takes place in a copper pot still, where relatively small batch sizes allow for tighter control over extraction and cut points. This approach supports clarity of flavour and ensures repeatability without relying on large scale continuous systems.

A total of eleven botanicals are used, centred around a strong juniper core. Traditional components such as coriander seed, angelica root, and citrus peel provide the structural framework. What distinguishes this gin is the inclusion of elderflower and cucumber, both of which are used to introduce a lighter, more aromatic profile. Botanicals are macerated prior to distillation, allowing essential oils to dissolve into the base spirit. During distillation, copper contact helps remove unwanted sulphur compounds while refining the aromatic profile. More delicate botanicals are carefully balanced to avoid being overwhelmed by heavier elements such as juniper and root components.

The use of fresh ingredients, particularly cucumber and floral elements, contributes to a softer and more accessible style. Despite this, the gin remains technically dry, with no post-distillation sweetening or flavouring added. Water used for dilution is sourced locally and treated to maintain consistency while preserving a smooth mouthfeel. The final spirit reflects a balance between traditional structure and a slightly more contemporary aromatic profile. The overall style is clean and juniper led, with a subtle lift from floral and fresh elements. It sits comfortably within the London dry category while offering a slightly softer and more approachable character.

Tasting Notes

Juniper forward with fresh pine and citrus peel. Light floral notes and a hint of cucumber add a subtle lift.

Palate:
Balanced and smooth, with juniper at the centre. Citrus and coriander provide brightness, while gentle floral and fresh notes soften the profile.

Finish:
Medium in length, with lingering juniper and light spice. A clean dryness remains, with a soft and fresh fade.
