Wolf Blass was founded in 1966 by Wolfgang Franz Otto Blass. German-born, Wolf emigrated to Australia in 1961 bringing little with him but his Master's in Oenology. After working for Tolley, Scott and Tolley as a winemaker for a few years before establishing his own winery, Wolf Blass Wines.
Though based in Barossa, Wolf Blass sources grapes from seven of South Australia's finest wine growing regions allowing blends across vineyards, varieties and regions. Wolf Blass has received the Jimmy Watson Memorial Award, the most prestigious wine award in Australia, a record 4 times in its history.
