Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon is rich, complex and smooth in taste. It combines 8-12 year old Kentucky straight bourbon whisky crafted from a "rye recipe". Having aged for at least 8 years, a maximum of 50 barrels are selected from the premiere ageing slots for each production batch. To ensure the consistency and exceptional quality of Buffalo Trace each of these barrels is tasted by the Master Distiller and his team to ensure the taste profile and balance of Buffalo Trace. Only after unanimous approval does bottling commence. Buffalo Trace is the flagship bourbon from the multi award winning Buffalo Trace Distillery.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Warm copper with amber reflections.
Nose
Rich and inviting. Notes of vanilla bean and caramel rise first, followed by soft brown sugar, ripe orchard fruit, and hints of burnt orange zest. Beneath, gentle oak spice and subtle baking aromas add depth.
Palate
Smooth and well-rounded. Sweet vanilla and toasted oak lead, followed by butterscotch, honeyed malt, and faint caramelised apple. A touch of cinnamon and nutmeg warms the centre, balanced by gentle rye spice.
Finish
Medium-long and warming. Lingering hints of sweet oak, spice and dark chocolate create a balanced, satisfying conclusion.
