Bushmills Black Bush is a rich, sherry-forward Irish whiskey from the historic Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Unlike many blended Irish whiskeys, Black Bush contains a high proportion of triple-distilled single malt whiskey, matured primarily in Oloroso sherry casks, combined with a smaller portion of grain whiskey aged in bourbon barrels. This elevated malt content and sherry influence give Black Bush greater depth, fruit richness, and complexity than standard blends. Bottled at 40% ABV, it delivers a smooth yet characterful profile that bridges the elegance of single malt with the approachability of a blend.
The extended sherry cask maturation imparts layers of dried fruit, spice, and nutty warmth, while the triple distillation ensures the whiskey remains silky and refined. Black Bush is widely regarded as one of the most flavourful expressions in the Bushmills range, offering exceptional value and versatility for sipping neat, over ice, or in premium whiskey cocktails.
