Cotswolds Founders Choice Single Malt Whisky is a cask strength whisky. On the nose, you get aromas of dry hay and cut wood, with dark chocolate and dried figs, and plums in sweet syrup. On the palate there's warming cereal and toast notes, with lots of fresh red fruits and butterscotch. The finish has hints of spicy oak, lots of dried fruit and a lingering nutty and dryness.
Made from grain to glass in the Cotswolds distillery, Cotswolds Founder's Choice Single Malt Whisky is made using local barley from the Cotswolds, which is mashed and fermented for a full four days before being distilled twice in their bespoke copper pot stills. It is then aged in specially shaved, toasted and recharred American Oak red wine casks, before being bottled at cask strength the distillery.
