The Macallan Double Cask Gold is a burnished gold spirit offering aromas of orange and lemon citrus with a little sweetness that softens the zest. A note of vanilla, followed by dark chocolate, with lingering floral and light oak notes. Citrus and boiled sweets on the palate, along with hints of ginger and cinnamon, while soft oak tones reveal toasted apples. The finish is medium sweet, malty and slightly dry. The Double Cask range is created from a perfect balance of whiskies drawn from hand-picked American and European Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks. In uniting the two styles, a unique character is presented whilst maintaining familiar flavours. |
