Ingredients:
75ml Whitley Neill Gin
15ml Noilly Prat Original Dry Vermouth
Pour the gin into a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass. Add the dry vermouth and STIR gently. Place the cocktail onion in the glass on a cocktail stick and serve.

Some myths surround the creation of this cocktail. In all likelihood it was invented in the 1940's for American artist Charles Dana Gibson at The Player's Club, New York. As there was no olives immediately available, the bartender used a white pearl onion.
