Vidal Estate Sauvignon Blanc is a distinctive, classic Marlborough style wine. A bouquet of passionfruit and bright citrus leads into a palate rich with juicy tropical fruit notes. Hints of fresh cut grass with a flinty minerality. A superb balance between fruit and acidity. The grapes for this wine were grown predominantly across the Wairau and Awatere valleys. After a gentle pressing, the juice was cool fermented to best retain the flavour and aroma. Some of the wine in the blend was aged on lees, bringing extra weight to the mid-palate and enhancing the fruit characteristics. A highly acclaimed wine, winning the International Trophy at the Decanter Asia Wine Awards in 2015.
