Johnnie Walker

Johnnie Walker's history dates back to 1820, when John Walker set up a business running a grocery store. Unlike most other grocers of the time, who simply stocked a line of single malts of variable quality, John discovered he had a talent for blending the whiskies together to create a consistent high-quality product. His son, Alexander carried the business into the industrial revolution, pioneering the use of his famous square bottle to reduce breakages when shipping around the world.

The business continued to grow, and today, Johnnie Walker is the most widely distributed blended scotch whisky in the world, and can be found in almost every country.
